Meet the Staff

Dr. Christie Collier, B.S, D.C,

Dr. Collier was born and raised in Southern California. She played many sports and excelled in fast pitch softball, achieving a scholarship to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, majoring in Kinesiology and Human Biomechanics. Being a starting catcher took a toll on her shoulder and in her junior year she suffered an injury that ended her softball career.

After exhausting physical therapy and seeing numerous doctors, only saying she needed surgery, she returned to my childhood Chiropractor. He treated and rehabbed her shoulder and full range of motion returned with no pain. This is when she realized what she wanted to do with her life.

After graduating from Southern California University of Health Sciences, with a degree of Doctorate of Chiropractic. She opened Island Chiropractic on Balboa Island in Newport Beach, California. Seeing families, children, and athletes; it was a successful business for 9 years. She also opened and operated Spa on the Bay, a wellness spa. During this time Dr. Collier was a treating Doctor for Ironman San Diego, 2 years Ironman Hawaii, and 4 years of the swim race “Race to erase Multiple sclerosis. Dr. Collier also volunteered as a treating Chiropractic Physician for 4 weeks in Russia and Latvia in women prisons and orphanages.

As much as Newport Beach is a beautiful place to live, it was time for a change…Dr. Collier sold her belongings and set out on a new adventure moving to Italy for a year where she operated a bed and breakfast and cooking school. She then had a unique opportunity to be a personal chiropractor and trainer for “A” list Hollywood movie stars on set all over Europe. While very exciting, it was also exhausting and hard to set down any roots, upon returning to the United States she was searching for a place that offered many outdoor activities and a better quality of life, this led her to Leavenworth, Washington.

Dr. Collier brings an extensive athletic background into her medical practice, using her knowledge of sports science in the treatment and prevention of athletic injuries. Her approach is to focus not only on the symptoms, but on correcting the cause of the problem –  biomechanically and functionally – using methods including muscle balancing, myofascial release, active release technique, chiropractic manipulative therapy, posture and gait analysis, biomechanics assessments, rehabilitation and injury prevention training. She believes in correction vs. masking.

Dr. Collier is passionate about mountain biking, hiking, running, skiing, ski touring, skate skiing, basically anything outdoors with her sidekicks Bodhi and Benson her Australian Shepard furry children.

Bodhi Collier, K-9

Hi, I’m Bodhi. I was born September 27, 2012, in beautiful Port Orchard, Wa. Some of the things I most enjoy are mountain biking, hiking and patrolling my ranch. Anything I can chase is my favorite thing at that given moment.

One of my proudest moments was when I rounded up the chickens and grabbed one in my mouth and ran up to my mom, dropping the chicken at her feet with that said, “Look what I got mom"!

I spend a lot of time with my mom at work at Collier Chiropractic Sports Therapy & Wellness, and my favorite spot to lay is by the reception chair so I can see out the front door and notice who’s coming and welcome them with a doggy hug and some warm kisses.

I take my job as office greeter very seriously and will make you feel welcomed anytime you walk through the door to see my mom, Dr. Christie Collier and her nice pack of health professionals.
